Listen: Major Julius Murphy with the Yuba-Sutter Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army of Yuba-Sutter will hosted an open house to celebrate eight transitional housing units currently under construction. The approximately 1,000 square ft. homes will house families who were displaced by the Camp Fire last November in Butte County. This is an extension of the LongTerm Recovery Program The Salvation Army continues to offer fire victims, and will last at least 18 months. After that, the homes may be available to others going through Salvation Army programs. The anticipated opening is January 2020.
