Army Depo Park Grand Reopening for Sac Senior Men's Baseball League

City of Sacramento Vice Mayor Eric Guerra and Associate Landscape Architect, Jeff Nittka, are proud to celebrate the reopening of the Army Depo Park Baseball fields. This park will become the new home for the Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball League (SMSBL). The city of Sacramento donated McAuliffe Park, the long-time home of SMSBL and Sacramento Babe Ruth, for Sacramento State University to build new high-rise dorms to meet the housing needs of their students. The SMSBL now has two Triple A equivalent fields with LED lighting and 20 acres of land for the next many generations to play baseball. This project consisted of the installation of two new AAA baseball ¬fields, concession / restroom building, bleachers, batting cage, bull pens, and parking lot. This ribbon cutting will include city officials, Sacramento State officials as well as an extend an invitation to the public to come view the new SMSBL’s home.
