Summer Jazz Concert Benefits Healing Power of Music

Listen: Ann Roach, Co-Founder of Tuneswork and Certified Music Practitioner talks about the concert and the work that Tuneswork does.

HuskyShows’ Summer Jazz Series 2019 – West Coast Jam, featuring artists Richard Elliot, Peter White and DW3 is Saturday, September 7th at The Hangar at McClellan. Doors open at 6:30pm / Show at 7:30pm

The concert is sponsored by TunesWork, a Sacramento based non-profit dedicated to raising money for therapeutic music programs. TunesWork is devoted to the transformative impact of music on people living with a diagnosis of dementia or other cognitive disorders. It strongly believes that “Music is Medicine”, as well as therapeutic music provided by certified music practitioners, can awaken those in rehabilitative and convalescent care. TunesWork provides funding for the Music & Memory program (musicandmemory.org) to enhance the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer’s in our community.
