Calling Out of Names Ceremony on the State Capitol Supporting Foster Youth

The Calling Out of Names” vigil is on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 at the California State Capitol (Room 112) in Sacramento. Every year, hundreds of people who are passionate about finding permanency for our foster youth come together to host, speak, or witness this vigil to bring attention to the young people who are waiting for a forever family.

The vigil will go from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. where we will once again read the first names and ages of many of the 60,000 California children who are growing up in foster care without a family to call their own. The event is powerful and moving and sheds light on the need for adoptive families in our state.
