New Rancho Cordova Exhibit at MACC Features Portland’s Best Visual Artist

Listen: Artist Jesse Reno.

Have you ever wondered what’s inside an artist’s mind? Join us at The MACC to preview an exhibit where you can discover this. The Ascension art exhibit features more than 50 pieces by Portland’s Best Visual Artist, Jesse Reno. Reno is a self-taught mixed media painter who has been supporting himself from art for the last 12 years, created over 4,000 paintings, and shown in over 100 galleries. He has sold 90 percent of his work, a unique accomplishment in the art world. Reno’s intuitive style is to begin a painting without anything planned and let what comes to him guide each stroke of the items he has available, from his hands to sticks. Each piece he creates is thus a perception of the shapes, figures, colors and sounds around him. The Ascension art exhibit runs from November 6-9 and 14-16, and features a special painting workshop by Reno, a “Violin on Fire” performance by Patrick Contreras, and more. Come meet the artist, preview the exhibit and watch him do a live painting. For more information.
