Today, Wednesday, April 29,UFC Fighter Josh Emmett and will deliver 100 meals to the health care workers at Sutter Medical Center.In partnership with local restaurants Limelight Cardroom, Bar, & Café and KRU Restaurant, the meal delivery was made possible by donations like those made during the ongoing #RaiseforSac fundraiser.
Being held from Sunday, April 26 to Sunday, May 3, Unite Sac’s #RaiseforSac fundraising competition partners four local charities with a Sacramento leader to drive donations. All funds raised during the friendly competition will help each of these charities as they work to support the Sacramento community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with Feed the Frontlines 916, the Unite Sac’s Fundraising competition will be raising money for the #RestoreGivesBack, the Family Meal Initiative, and Sac Soup.
