Sysco Sacramento, a distributor of food products to restaurant, education and healthcare industries, is providing food direct to consumers on May 15, 2020, atits warehouse in Pleasant Grovethrough the launch of a Will-Call Pop-Up Truck sale. Consumers can shop from the convenience of their home, purchase a range of restaurant-quality food products as well as non-food items and pick up their orders in a safe, contactless manner.  

Interested consumers may place their orders at https://shopsacramento.sysco.com. Purchases must be completed by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. Orders will be available for pick up at thewarehousefrom 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m on Friday, May 15. Customers will receive instructions for safe, socially distant protocols at the conclusion of check out. Purchases are not limited to Sacramento citizens, but pick-up will be held only at thewarehouse in Pleasant Grove.

Products featured on the Will-Call Pop-Up Truck sale include steak packs, pizza, bundles of flour, chicken breast packs, bottled water, pancake mix, burger patties, juice, bacon, shrimp, yogurt and more. These restaurant-quality products were selected for their diverse applications in the kitchen and their ability to extend the collective shelf-lives of American pantries. In addition, consumers can take advantage of the Country BBQ Steak Packwhich includesfour 8 oz. choice top sirloin steaks, two 12 oz. choice ribeye states and two 12 oz. choice New York strip steaks.The products are of the same high-quality consumers are accustomed to enjoying when dining at restaurants.

“As a result of the pandemic, Sysco has rapidly shifted our focus to align our capabilities with the changing needs of our customers and communities. One way we’re doing this is offering Stock Up events benefiting individual consumers. Consumers simply place their order online and, using a numerical code at pick up, their orders will be placed directly in the trunk of their vehicle,” said Cindy Thomson, president of Sysco Sacramento. “This is a safe, convenient way for the community to get fresh, restaurant quality products, and other essential items.”
