Acres of Hope is a spiritually based renewal center serving homeless women with children by providing them with a home and an environment of structured programming. Located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, Acres of Hope’s unique approach allows residents to live onsite for up to two years while staff and volunteers invest heavily in their lives by providing encouragement, practical life-skills training, job skills, mentoring and spiritual direction. Their residential program strives to break the cycle of homelessness for abused women and their children.
Acres of Hope was a top ten finalist for Social Venture Partners of Sacramento Fast Pitch program.
Eighteen Sacramento region nonprofits supported by 36 business coaches have invested four months in learning the components of an effective pitch to support their fundraising and awareness-building efforts. Typically, our cohort concludes with 10 finalists taking the stage on the floor of the Golden 1 Center in front of a live crowd of 1,000+ community members. This year, in our now socially distanced world, we are unveiling the results of their hard work via a video showcase. We ask that you watch, donate and share with your communities. Now more than ever, these nonprofit leaders who support some of our most vulnerable citizens need the support of our broader community. Acres of Hope was one of this year’s top 10 finalists!
