District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announces open registration for the 3rdAnnual Crime Lab Youth Shadow Days. This program is being offered virtually for the first time this year.
The Crime Lab Youth Shadow Day was launched in 2018, and quickly exceeded capacity. A second day was added to meet the high demand, resulting in a total of 120 student participants from approximately 50 high schools across the county.
Participating students will visit the District Attorney’s Crime Lab virtually and meet criminalists who are experts in the various fields of forensic science and crime scene investigations (CSI). They are provided a virtual learning experience in several areas including blood spatter analysis, bullet trajectory, trace evidence, firearms and tool comparison, and drug analysis.
