As millions of kids prepare for distance learning, many will go without much needed school supplies, typically provided in a classroom environment. To help provide kids with a good start to the year, SMUD has partnered with Cal Expo and Sacramento Republic FC in sponsoring Giving Monday at the Fair, an effort to collect needed school supplies for the Sacramento Children’s Home and surrounding communities.
SMUD Giving Monday will accept school supplies in a contactless drive-thru, and donors will receive a free hand sanitizer in return. The first 100 donors will receive a free Republic FC swag bag. Donors can also make monetary donations a tkidshome.org/backpack.
