Listen: ABC's Ales Stone.
Law enforcement is often in the spotlight these days and criticized for their interactions with the public. Video footage can be slowed down to inspect every fraction of a second to show how a police officer or sheriff’s deputy responded to an incident. Alex was invited to experience the stresses of those encounters firsthand with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. In a tactical scenario training class stress was purposely introduced and situations evolved with actors extremely quickly. Alex, playing the deputy had to make (mock) life or death decisions. Alex has the audio of it and can walk you through what it feels like on the other side of the badge and gun.
