Turn Those Old Campaign Signs into Art Sponsored Habitat for Humanity

On November 4, tens of thousands of political yards signs in Sacramento County will become obsolete. They are not recyclable and most of them will end up in the landfill unless candidates and campaigns participate in this unique Politics-to-Art event co-sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, Atlas Disposal, the Atrium Creative Center for Sustainability, the National Stewardship Action Council and coordinated by Gregg Fishman.

The idea is to collect as many of these signs as possible and make them available to artists, art teachers and students, crafters, hobbyists and anyone who can put them to good use so they don’t end up in the landfill..

Specifics: Date: Saturday November 7, 2020 Location: Habitat for Humanity Restore, 819 North Tenth street, Sacramento Times: Sign Drop Off 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Sign Pick Up 1:00 pm to 4:30
