DRESS 2 S.O.A.R., a program under the Ticket to Dream Foundation, has announced that their 3rd annual comedy show will be held virtually on November 14th at 7pm. The comedy show will be headlined by comedian David Studebaker, named “One of the 10 Best Comics to Watch” by SF Weekly and co-hosted by Freddie Silveria of Fund a Need.
Justin Studebaker, Founder of DRESS 2 S.O.A.R. who is also a men's stylist at Nordstrom, was inspired 6 years ago to donate customers' old, gently used professional clothing to foster youth in need of clothing for job interviews. He and his team have evolved into a larger non-profit organization that prepares foster teens for the professional world, complete with workshops and styling consults. They have recently launched financial literacy workshops to help foster youth manage their finances.
On the 17th, DRESS 2 S.O.A.R. will host a shopping spree for foster teens at Nordstrom, where volunteers and stylists will help teens shop for new job-ready clothes. Clothes that are out of their budget are snuck away by volunteers and later given as holiday presents!
