Listen: Chef Marco Cerruti, Beast + Bounty, 1701 R St., the renowned Sacramento eatery best known for its woodfire cooking, has reopened. . Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, dining will be held outdoors with indoor dining becoming available as county restrictions allow.
Amid the most notable change is the addition of chef Marco Cerruti, whose culinary resume includes working at The World's Top 50 Best & Michelin starred restaurants such as Saison in San Francisco and The Kitchen in Sacramento. Cerruti also worked abroad in Italy and Denmark, including 108 Noma in Copenhagen and the famed certified organic restaurants Relae - with a vegetable driven tasting menu - and the meat-focused Bæst pizzeria, also in Copenhagen, known for being ranked third best pizza in all of Europe.
In addition to Chef Cerruti, the new Beast + Bounty will also welcome bar manager Chris Osman, formerly of Hawk’s Public House in Sacramento and Certified Sommelier Aaron Gross, whom will also serve as General Manager.
