Listen: Barry Broome, CEO, Greater Sacramento Economic Council
“We applaud the Sacramento City Council for approving the Community Benefits Partnership Agreement Tuesday for Aggie Square. This is a big step forward toward inclusive economic development and this project will be the largest research park our region has ever seen, creating 15,600 total jobs and $2.6 billion in economic impacts to the six-county region. Aggie Square will improve the Sacramento region’s college attainment rate for UC Davis and allows an opportunity for students to apply their research to create companies from robust incubators and accelerator programs. We appreciate Mayor Steinberg and Chancellor May as well as the council’s leadership and tireless efforts on this important project.”- Greater Sacramento Economic Council President & CEO, Barry Broome
