Listen: ABC's Alex Stone shares his firsthand experience with police in Fresno.
Here's the description from Alex: Last Friday night I rode with Fresno Police and it didn’t take long before we were racing lights and sirens to a murder—we arrived on scene and the victim was down, shot multiple times. The officers tried CPR but it didn’t work. He died right there. It was pretty dramatic. Fresno is trying a program to reduce the gun violence called Advance Peace in which ex-gang members befriend current gang members to get them to stop shooting. I also look at a California proposal to tax guns and ammo and talk to a CA gun group HQ’d outside of Sacramento that says a tax wouldn’t stop street crimes like CA is seeing right now.
ABC's Alex Stone is part of an hour long special on gun violence in the U.S. which plays on KFBK this weekend.
