American River Parkway Foundation
September 18, 2021 is the Great American River Clean Up event, our largest annual volunteer trash removal effort on the Parkway in conjunction with the California Coastal Commission. In years past, more than 2,000 volunteers worked together to pick up over 30,000 pounds of trash from the river.
The American River Parkway Foundation organizes 19 volunteer teams at on-land and onwater clean-up sites in conjunction with the California Coastal Commission’s annual statewide clean up event, themed, “Protect Your Happy Place.”
