This month is the seven-year anniversary of the deadly cross-county crime spree that left two Northern California deputies dead. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff’s Detective Michael Davis.were killed by Luis Bracamontes who was in the country illegally after having previously been deported twice to Mexico.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Brown survived the battle and has written a book called Facing Evil: A Cop's Story of Murder, Mayhem and the Aftermath."
Deputy Brown was on patrol with Oliver the day he was shot and killed by Bracamotes and Brown encourages donations to the www.DannyOliverFoundation.org.
Brown will be at Cooper's Coffee House in Folsom on Friday, Oct 29 from 9:30 to Noon.
