AB 1400 Healthcare Bill Pulled While Ca Taxpayer Assn Voiced Concerns

The vote in the CA Assembly on the single-payer healthcare bill didn't happen today. In a statement the author Assemblyman Ash Kalra confirms that AB 1400, his single-payer bill, will not move forward: "It became clear that we did not have the votes necessary for passage and I decided the best course of action is to not put AB 1400 for a vote today."

Before the vote was pulled, David Kline with the California Taxpayer's Association talked about the concerns the association has and which will continue if another similar bill comes up.
