Red Rover is on the ground helping the Humane Society of the United States provide daily care and comfort to approximately 60 dogs, including nearly 20 puppies rescued from an alleged cruelty situation at a residential property.
Local authorities in San Miguel County served a search and seizure warrant on the private property yesterday. They found the dogs and puppies living outside in dirty, crowded pens in freezing temperatures. Many were without apparent access to food or water. The rescued animals are unaltered, and several are pregnant.
