Sac DA's Office on CDCR's Early Prison Release Regulations

Listen: Chief Deputy Rod Norgaard with the Sacramento DA's office talks about the public comment period as the The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations (DCDR) seeks to make early prison release requirements permanent.

The Sacramento District Attorney's office says this would result in the early release of thousands of violent offenders and “nonviolent second strikers.” CDCR is required to hold a public comment period before the regulations become permanent. They are also required to consider and address all comments made.
