CA Changes to Organic Waste Recycling. Here's How it Works

Beginning in 2022, SB 1383 requires every jurisdiction to provide organic waste collection services to all residents and businesses.

The new rules kick in for the City of Sacramento on July 1 and your food scraps and food-soiled paper goes where you used to only put yard waste.
