Aerospace Museum of California Hosts

First-Ever After Hours Top Gun Open Cockpit Event

On Saturday, August 20, 2022 | 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

The Aerospace Museum of California is pleased to announce its first-ever "Top Gun" themed Open Cockpit event on Saturday, August 20th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. With the success of the new “Top Gun: Maverick,” the Aerospace Museum of California has dedicated a special day for future pilots in training to experience the need for speed and much more. Grab a wingman and suit up for a chance to earn your wings. The museum is encouraging anyone who wants to dress up to do so. Please be aware that the museum will not be open until 2 p.m. in preparation for the event.

The first-ever After Hours Top Gun Open Cockpit will feature a “Top Gun” themed photo booth, straw rockets, select cockpit viewings and an opportunity to build a paper F-14 from the original “Top Gun” movie. The museum’s Mars theater will display a behind-the-scenes video of the making of Top Gun (1986) for those who are interested. Show times will be provided upon entrance.

The Aerospace Museum of California is located at 3200 Freedom Park Drive in McClellan, California.
