The highly anticipated 8th edition of CDP’s Behind the Barre: Made in Sacramento! will have its inaugural debut at the illustrious Sofia this weekend.
Seven choregraphers present pieces in a multi-media context with video, art, innovative costumes and eclectic music.

Behind the Barre pairs CDP's 7 resident choreographers with Sacramento's most exciting visual artists and musicians for an inspiring multi-media performance. This year’s collaborating artists include Heather Hogan, Raul Mejia, Trin De, Emi Mizuno and more, soon to be announced! The performance includes stunning introductory films by longtime CDP collaborator Natalie Manning, giving the audience a glimpse into the collaborative and creative process before seeing each new work. Behind the Barre also celebrates local makers, artists, and businesses with a Maker's Mart in the lobby before the show and during intermission. Local brews will be provided by Behind the Barre sponsors New Helvetia Brewing Company with all beer proceeds supporting CDP!
