Single Mom Strong, a nonprofit created to meet the unique needs of local single mothers and their families, is expanding its childcare offerings to meet growing demand in the community.
The Empowerment Center in Citrus Heights now features a brand new facility that allows Single Mom Strong to soon enroll infants and toddlers in its award-winning EmpowerME preschool and childcare. With license pending for children six to 24 months and programs in place for two to 13 years, including extended hours and drop-in care, Single Mom Strong now cares for children throughout childhood with inclusive, high quality, affordable programs that serve all children, but specifically addresses needs of single parent, single income families. With lower tuition than all other providers in the region, and opportunities for single parents to volunteer in exchange for additional tuition discounts, participation reduces strain on the family budget. Voted “Best of Citrus Heights” in the Preschool/Childcare category for 2021 and 2022, they are also making waves with the quality of care provided.
