New Pedestrian Bridge to be Built in West Sac over US 50

Listen: West Sacramento Mayor Martha Guerrero says the Sycamore Trail Extension Phase II Groundbreaking took place April 6. This project will construct a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over U.S. 50 providing a much-needed north/south route through the heart of the city. It will connect Evergreen Avenue just south of Joey Lopes Park, with the Washington Unified School District Clarendon Street Campus to the south of the freeway.
