Investigative Journalist Laura Ingle worked on the Long Island Serial Killer case for years and hosted the multi-part documentary and podcast “Grim Tide: Hunting the Long Island Serial Killer Case”
Ingle spoke with investigators, crime lab technicians and phone analysts who worked to crack the case, attorneys representing the victims and the former Suffolk County District attorney for the special and visited the crime scene where the bodies were discovered in the notorious “bramble” which is a patch of thorny bushes and wetlands filled with poison ivy near the beaches where the killer dumped the bodies. A place that no one ever would dare to walk around making it a perfect dumping ground.
She also flew to Colorado to interview former cold case detective Paul Holes who she wanted to interview for this story hoping his insights from working and solving the golden state killer case could help with this investigation.
