Listen: Todd Koolakian, director of philanthropy of the Sacramento Children’s Home and 2023/2024 president of the Rotary Club of Sacramento.

More than a thousand cyclists are expected to participate in the 10th annual Sac Century Challenge bike ride along the Sacramento Delta on Saturday, September 30. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sacramento, proceeds from ride registration and fundraising by riders and community members will benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery.

Starting on Capitol Mall and winding through the Sacramento Delta, the Sac Century Challenge offers flat routes of 100, 63, 36 or 16 miles through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Sacramento Valley. Individual riders, teams and families are all welcome. The ride will be followed by a post-ride festival featuring a variety of food trucks, beverages, music and much celebration. The festival is also open to the general public for a $10 entrance fee.

Online registration for the Sac Century Challenge is open until Thursday, September 28th at 10:00PM. After that, riders can still register in person at early check-in (Friday, September 29th between noon and 6pm - 1435 River Park Drive, Sacramento) or the morning of the ride at Capitol Mall and 9th Street, Sacramento.

The ride starts at 7:00 am.
