Legendary Blues Musician Mick Martin's 75th Birthday Concert on May 3

Blues fans in Northern California probably know Mick Martin, leader of his Big Blues Band, as the host/producer of "Mick Martin's Blues Party" for 33 years currently on Sacramento's K-ZAP, His previous band, Mick Martin & the Blues Rockers, toured for 40 years, making annual trips to England, Italy and Belgium. An award-winning harmonica player and singer-songwriter, his accomplishments include recording over two dozen CDs (four in Europe) with the Blues Rockers and appearing on "Sum Serious Blues" by jazz organist Jimmy Smith and "The Snakecrew Live" with Harvey Mandel, among other releases. His big band features Andrew Little (guitar & vocals), Danny Sandoval (tenor sax). Dave Johnson (trumpet & trombone), Steve Utstein (Hammond organ, piano), Aj Joyce (bass), Jim Caselli (drums) and newest member, Andres Sandoval (baritone sax). Celebrated soul singer, Marcel Smith, will be a featured guest and his new release, "From My Soul," is receiving airplay and garnering rave reviews all over the world.
