Looking for a different present for the history nerd on your holiday list?
From vintage campaign buttons and presidential posters to pop culture items, this event will showcase how political collectibles have transformed into a way to better understand the heated politics of the moment. When we look at memorabilia from past elections—like a an "All the Way with JFK" button or Women's Suffrage movement or anti-Vietnam war pins—they’ve long since lost their heated impact and have become artifacts of history.
Come celebrate pop culture collectibles and political memorabilia at this annual show. Attendees can shop from more than 20 tables of memorabilia buying new and vintage political buttons, advertising pinbacks, posters, patriotic Americana, and pop culture memorabilia; receive free appraisals of their political items and see a display of 2024 presidential campaign memorabilia. A live auction at noon will feature professionally-framed campaign bandanas from 1884 and more.
Hosted by the American Political Items Collectors (APIC) a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and education of American political history. www.apic.us
