The reporter who obtained documents from Donald Trump's 2005 tax returns says it's entirely possible that he received the returns from Trump himself or someone close to him. David Cay Johnston tells ABC that Trump "has a long history of leaking things about himself." Johnston says he received the documents in the mail, unsolicited. Trump, on Twitter, ridiculed that account, describing the Pulitzer prize winner as "a reporter who nobody ever heard of." The documents indicate that for that year, he paid $36.5 million in income taxes -- thanks to a tax that he has since tried to eliminate.
